Drink Duvel for free at Dodentocht

Free Duvel...
Yes it´s true, if you go to Belgium in the beginning of august you can participate at the annual Dodentocht, 100km in 24 hours starting always on a Friday at 21:00 and you have to arrive Saturday at 21:00.

after +/-40km you arrive at the factory of Duvel where you can drink all the Duvels you want....most people stop there ... to much Duvel :)

then at +/- 60 km you enter the Palm factory...more beer now Palm

then up to the finish 100km

the 40th edition of the dodentocht takes place on 14/08/2009 go there and enjoy your walk with Duvel & Palm.

In 39 years the Dodentocht has become one of the most important hiking events in Europe. It all started in 1970 with 65 participants; now it has grown into a plus-9,000-hikers event!
There must be a good reason for an event to be this successful.
The ever-present ambiance, the more than 50,000 spectators along the entire track (in the provinces of Antwerp, Eastern Flanders and Flemish Brabant), the smooth organization and the unique atmosphere distinguish the 100 km Dodentocht of Bornem from other hikes and makes it a unique experience.
In Bornem there are no rankings or records; it's all about your own performance. The reward is a certificate, a medal and a feeling of satisfaction when you cross the finish line.
